daab design is proud to be participating in The Yards West, an 18 acre portion of The Yards. Our role as Design Architect forged the foundation for the 2.8 million s.f. mixed use development. Gensler, Selldorf Architects and SH0P are delivering individual parcels of the daab Master Plan.

The revitalisation of Washington DC’s South East waterfront is an ongoing effort successfully unravelling years of neglect and urban decay. Work we delivered on behalf of Forest City Washington (now Brookfield Properties) is leading the redevelopment along the Anacostia River at the former Navy Yards.

The public realm within The Yards West will integrate strong public transit connections, bike and hiking trails, and will place people over cars in creating a unique live/work environment. The Master Plan also provides guidelines for building massing, relationship to set-backs, base building design and explores tenant subdivisions.
